These are lovely and fresh as they are, but if your barbecue is dying down whack them on the griddle for a couple of minutes to lightly caramelise some of the fruit for a perfect end to a meal.

What you'll need

1 kiwi

2 banana

8 strawberries

8 grapes

½ small melon

200g SPAR Greek style yogurt

2 tbsp SPAR clear honey or maple syrup

½ tsp finely grated orange zest (optional)

Method

Peel and thickly slice 1 kiwi.  Peel and chop 2 banana into chunky pieces. 

 

Hull 8 strawberries and skin and cut half a small melon into chunks. 

 

Thread the pieces, along with 8 grapes alternately onto wooden skewers.

 

Cover and chill until required.  Combine 200ml natural Greek yogurt with 2tbsp runny honey or maple syrup and ½ tsp finely grated orange zest and serve with the chilled skewers. 

 

Tip – the skewers will keep in the fridge for a couple of hours covered with cling film, but add the banana at the last minute as it will discolour
