Halloween Savory Snacks Platter
This is the perfect way to combine Halloween and food and best of all the; kids can help!
This savoury platter is made up of 3 spooktacular treats!
Â
1. Sausage Mummies
what you’ll need; (makes 6)
6 sausages & 3 SPAR white tortilla wraps
Using a knife or scissors cut your tortilla wraps into thin strips, you should use ½ a wrap per sausage. Then carefully wrap your tortilla bandage round your raw sausage. Start at the bottom and work your way up remembering to leave a gap for the face!
Cook in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35 minutes.
Time to apply the eyes, I used mustard and a toothpick but you could use ketchup, BBQ sauce or Mayo
Â
2. Scary Sodas
What you’ll need; (makes 4)
2 soda farls cut in ½ to create 4 pizza bases, 4 tablespoons of passatta, 1 teaspoon of basil, 4 cheese slices, olives for eyes and a Ghost Cookie Cutter or a template to cut around
Toast your farls in the toaster for 2-3 minutes. While this is happening combine your passatta and basil to form a pizza sauce, spread this over each of your 4 soda farls.
Using your cookie cutter or template cut out a cheesy ghost, place on top of your soda farl base and place under a warm grill for 60 second. Once cooked add your eyes, I used a chopped up olive!
Â
3. Bat Nachos and dip
What you’ll need; (makes 24)
3 tortillas, olive oil and a bat cookie cutter
The easiest and tastiest treat you’ll ever make. Using the bat cookie cutter cut out your shapes, start at the edge of the tortilla wrap and work into the middle. Place all your bats in a bowl and add a dash of olive oil, season with salt and place on a baking tray
Cook in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 3-5 minutes, take out and serve with a SPAR Classic Dip selection
