SPAR delivers seasonal magic with a chance to win your Christmas Dinner, Actually

To celebrate even more festive freshness in-store this Christmas, SPAR NI has revealed that 10 lucky shoppers will win their Christmas dinner this year, because it’s all free, actually!
Local sourcing isn’t just for Christmas at the retailer, which has over 500 SPAR, EUROSPAR and ViVO stores in communities across Northern Ireland with shelves bursting with produce, meats and meals sourced locally.
In total, over 75% of all fresh products in-store are sourced from fields and farms across the island of Ireland, ensuring shoppers can enjoy the pick of the crop while supporting their local farmers and retailers.
Adding to the joy this Christmas, shoppers can scan an in-store QR code for the chance to win their Christmas dinner, making the season even more magical. And that’s not all, SPAR has teamed up with Q Radio to sprinkle even more festive cheer with an exciting competition for the run-up to Christmas, so make sure to tune in for your chance to win from Monday 1st December!
Clare Bell from SPAR NI explains; “We know Christmas can be an expensive time of year, so gifting 10 lucky shoppers with their full Christmas dinner is one of the ways in which SPAR is giving back. Every winner will receive a £100 store voucher to pick up their favourites and fill their table full of festive freshness!”
SPAR NI has seasonal eating all wrapped up, from mince pies to party food, the fluffiest potatoes, succulent carrots and of course, the tastiest turkey crowns and gammons, everything from their festive spread comes from farmers and suppliers across the island of Ireland.
New for this year, SPAR NI’s The Kitchen Festive Edition is perfect for sharing with family and friends. Highlights include a Christmas tree tear and share bread, a baked wreath with gooey melted Camembert, and for those with a sweet tooth, the indulgent cinnamon doughball tear and share with vanilla frosting, all designed to make entertaining easy, fun, and delicious.
Clare continues; “It is so important for us to provide local food for our shoppers. Not only do our products taste better because they are fresher thanks to minimum travel miles, but it means we can also support farmers and producers in our local area. We have gammon from Cookstown, plus carrots, potatoes and parsnips from County Down, and our range of festive desserts are made in County Armagh.
“This year, we’ve gone behind the scenes with our local suppliers to show shoppers the passion and dedication that goes into bringing fantastic flavours and products to their Christmas dinner table. Joining us on this festive journey is Carl Johannesson, our in-house chef, along with everyone's favourite Gerry Lavz, who together will showcase the people and stories behind the food that makes Christmas with SPAR NI so special.
“You can feast your eyes on them over on our SPAR NI website and across our social media, the perfect place to get inspired for your Christmas spread!”
Providing value at this time of year is also important to the retailer, and from 8th December, shoppers can pick up their Christmas ham, parsnips, carrots, Brussel sprouts and potatoes for under £10, while stocks last.
Not even letting a ‘picky bit’ go to waste, Chef Carl Johannesson has created delicious recipes to inspire festive sandwiches, showstopping party plates and cheeseboards, as well as offering creative ideas to use-up leftovers from pies to pasta.
Clare finished; “Everything our shoppers need for Christmas and all the various celebrations it brings, can be found at SPAR and EUROSPAR and we are so proud to bring so many local products to our shelves. No need to be making as many stops as Santa this Christmas, it’s all under one roof at SPAR, actually!”
