Lauren shares her week of dinners for £35 from SPAR!
This weeks recipes include:

£35 got all the ingredients for 5 dinners and plenty of leftovers for lunches.
Each recipe serves 4. *The shop doesn't include cupboard staples such as oil, spices and flour
Crispy Chicken Tacos
You will need:
- Pack of tortilla wrapsÂ
- Pack of spar crispy chicken piecesÂ
- LettuceÂ
- 200ml milkÂ
- 3 Coleraine cheese slicesÂ
- Teaspoon Cajun spiceÂ
- Sweet chilli sauceÂ
Method:
- Cook your chicken in air fryer or oven as per packet instructionsÂ
- Cut up your lettuceÂ
- Fold your tortilla in half and toast to make it crispyÂ
- In a pan add your milk, Cajun seasoning and 3 cheese slices over medium heat. Mix well until it forms your cheese sauce.
- Build your tacos - fill each wrap with lettuce, crispy chicken, cheese sauce and some of the sweet chilli sauce.
Creamy Cajun Sausage Pasta
You will need:
- Pack of spar pork sausagesÂ
- 320g spaghettiÂ
- Handful cherry tomato
- Two tablespoons Cajun seasoningÂ
- 100ml single cream (I used vegan cream as it was on offer)Â
- Half an onion finely chopped Â
- Teaspoon garlicÂ
- Two tablespoons ParmesanÂ
Method:
- Chop 6 sausages into pieces, add to a pan and pan fry.
- Add onion and garlic to pan and fry off.
- Add your spaghetti to a pot and cook as per packet instructions.
- Add in chopped cherry tomatoes to pan and cook these off. Add in two tablespoons Cajun seasoning.
- Add in two tablespoons of pasta water into the pan.
- Add in 100ml cream and mix this through. Add in your Parmesan at this stage too.
- When pasta is cooked, add the drained pasta into pan and combine well.
Top with Parmesan and parsley and serve.Â
Crispy Sticky Beef & Rice
You will need:
- Packet of spar salt and chilli sizzle steaksÂ
- Two tablespoons cornflourÂ
- Two peppersÂ
- One onionÂ
- Two tablespoons dark soy
- Two tablespoons sweet chilli sauceÂ
- Tablespoon tomato ketchupÂ
- 300g rice
- Spring onionsÂ
Method:
- Cut steak into thin strips, add to a bowl and add in cornflour. Combine well. Cook steak for 7-9 mins in air fryer/ oven until crispy.
- Cook your rice as per packet instructions.
- Thinly chop your peppers and onions and add to the pan. Sauté until soft.Â
- Add in your sauce mixture to the vegetable and coat well. Add in your cooked beef and coat in the sauce.
- Serve with white rice.

Houmous & Cous Cous Summer Salad
You will need
- Pot of houmousÂ
- Pot of cous cousÂ
- 2 AvocadoÂ
- Cherry tomatoesÂ
- Chilli flakesÂ
- Lettuce
- Pepper
- OnionÂ
- Tortilla wrap

Method:
- Cut your tortilla wrap into pieces, season with Cajun seasoning and oil and air fry/oven cook for 5 mins until crispy.
- Chop up your lettuce, onion, tomato and peppers.
- Half your avocados, remove skin, remove pit and cut into pieces. Season with chilli flakes.
- Plate up your salads with houmous, cous cous, avocado, lettuce, tomato, peppers, onion and crispy tortillas.
BBQ Pulled Pork Loaded Baked Potatoes
You will need:
- One packet of SPAR BBQ pulled porkÂ
- 4 baking potatoesÂ
- Cheese
- ButterÂ
Method:
- Prick your baking potatoes with a fork, coat with oil and salt and wrap in foil. Air fry/oven cook until they are crispy on outside and soft and fluffy inside. Approx. 30 mins in air fryer.
- Meanwhile, cook your SPAR BBQ pulled pork as per packet instructions.
- When baked potatoes are ready, cut in half and fill with butter, salt, pepper, and cheese.
- Top each baked potato with BBQ pulled pork and some crispy onions and parsley.
