A warm apple and Biscoff bread and butter pudding layered with sweet, spiced flavours—rich, comforting, and perfect for an indulgent dessert.

What you'll need:

• 6–8 slices white bread
• 2 medium The Greengrocer’s apples
• 3–4 tbsp SPAR biscuit spread
• 300 ml SPAR milk
• 150 ml SPAR double cream
• 2 SPAR eggs
• 3 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• Small knob of butter (for greasing)
• Honey (optional)

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F.
2. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Toss with a little cinnamon if using and cook down in pot with sugar. Add honey if using.
3. Grease an ovenproof dish. Layer bread triangles (biscuit spread side up), then top with stewed apples. Repeat until used up, finishing with bread on top.
4. Make the custard - whisk egg yolks, sugar, milk, cream, and vanilla together.
5. Spread one side of the generously with biscuit spread. Cut each slice into triangles. Layer into baking dish. Pour stewed apples on top of bread.
6. Pour custard evenly over the bread and apples. Press down gently so the bread absorbs the custard. (soak for 10–15 minutes if you have time) Sprinkle with some sugar.
7. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set in the middle.
8. And serve - delicious on its own or with custard, cream, or ice cream. Optional extra sprinkle crushed Biscoff biscuits on top before baking for crunch.
