- 200g Plain Flour
- 225g Cypriot Halloumi Cheese
- Garlic Granules
- Paprika Seasoning
- Fresh Parsley
- Olive Oil Spray
- Sweet Chilli Sauce (or preferred dip)
Method:
- Prepare Egg: Crack and whisk the egg in a bowl until well beaten.
- Season Flour: In a separate bowl, combine 200g of plain flour with paprika and garlic granules.
- Slice Halloumi: Cut the halloumi cheese into large, thick slices, resembling chunky chips.
- Coat Halloumi: Dunk each halloumi slice into the whisked egg, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Flour Coating: Transfer the egg-coated halloumi slices to the seasoned flour mixture. Coat thoroughly, shaking off any excess flour.
- Prepare Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Air Fry: Place the coated halloumi slices into the air fryer. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve: Plate the crispy halloumi fries with your preferred dipping sauce, such as sweet chilli sauce. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of colour and flavour.
