What you'll need:

  1. 1 Egg
  2. 200g Plain Flour
  3. 225g Cypriot Halloumi Cheese
  4. Garlic Granules
  5. Paprika Seasoning
  6. Fresh Parsley
  7. Olive Oil Spray
  8. Sweet Chilli Sauce (or preferred dip)

Method:

  1. Prepare Egg: Crack and whisk the egg in a bowl until well beaten.
  2. Season Flour: In a separate bowl, combine 200g of plain flour with paprika and garlic granules.
  3. Slice Halloumi: Cut the halloumi cheese into large, thick slices, resembling chunky chips.
  4. Coat Halloumi: Dunk each halloumi slice into the whisked egg, ensuring it's fully coated.
  5. Flour Coating: Transfer the egg-coated halloumi slices to the seasoned flour mixture. Coat thoroughly, shaking off any excess flour.
  6. Prepare Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  7. Air Fry: Place the coated halloumi slices into the air fryer. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve: Plate the crispy halloumi fries with your preferred dipping sauce, such as sweet chilli sauce. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of colour and flavour.Â
