What you'll need:
- 1 EggÂ
- 200g Plain FlourÂ
- 225g Cypriot Halloumi CheeseÂ
- Garlic GranulesÂ
- Paprika SeasoningÂ
- Fresh ParsleyÂ
- Olive Oil SprayÂ
- Sweet Chilli Sauce (or preferred dip)Â
Method:
- Prepare Egg: Crack and whisk the egg in a bowl until well beaten.Â
- Season Flour: In a separate bowl, combine 200g of plain flour with paprika and garlic granules.Â
- Slice Halloumi: Cut the halloumi cheese into large, thick slices, resembling chunky chips.Â
- Coat Halloumi: Dunk each halloumi slice into the whisked egg, ensuring it's fully coated.Â
- Flour Coating: Transfer the egg-coated halloumi slices to the seasoned flour mixture. Coat thoroughly, shaking off any excess flour.Â
- Prepare Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.Â
- Air Fry: Place the coated halloumi slices into the air fryer. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.Â
- Serve: Plate the crispy halloumi fries with your preferred dipping sauce, such as sweet chilli sauce. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of colour and flavour.Â
