Prawn & Lemon Butter Toast
Whip up this quick and easy Prawn & Lemon Butter Toast recipe — fresh, zesty, and perfect for a Christmas starter!
What you'll need:
- Seafeast Cooked Coldwater Prawns 280g
- The Greengrocer’s Lemon Net 3 Pack
- Colman’s Seafood Sauce 155g
- Ormo Farmhouse Wheaten Bread 500g
- Butter
- Optional: Fresh herbs (like dill or parsley), black pepper, garlic
Method:
- Place the Seafeast Coldwater Prawns in the fridge overnight or run under cold water until thawed. Pat dry with kitchen paper.
- In a frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 1 finely chopped garlic clove (optional), a squeeze of lemon juice, and a pinch of lemon zest. Stir until fragrant.
- Add the prawns to the pan and toss for 1–2 minutes until heated through and coated in the lemony garlic butter. Season with black pepper and chopped herbs, if using.
- While the prawns cook, toast slices of Ormo Farmhouse Wheaten Bread. Spread lightly with butter while still warm.
- Spoon the buttery prawns over each slice of toast. Drizzle with any leftover lemon butter from the pan.
- Serve immediately with a wedge of lemon on the side — add a spoonful of Colman’s Seafood Sauce for an extra flavour boost.
