Scallion Pancakes (Chinese-Style)

A delicious snack or side dish

These crispy, savoury pancakes are made from flour, warm water, and fresh scallions, pan-fried to golden perfection. Serve with soy or chili sauce for dipping.

What you'll need:

  • 240g plain flour 
  • 175ml warm water 
  • 4 scallions, finely chopped 
  • Salt 
  • Oil for frying 

Method:

  1. Mix flour and warm water to form dough, knead until smooth, rest 30 mins. 
  2. Roll out dough thinly, brush with oil, sprinkle scallions and salt. 
  3. Roll into a log, coil into a circle, then roll flat again. 
  4. Pan-fry in oil until golden and crispy on both sides. 
  5. Cut and serve with soy or chilli dipping sauce.
