What you'll need:

  • 500g Enjoy Local Steak Pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 500g potatoes, peeled & chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled & chopped
  • 700ml beef stock
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 100ml cold water


  1. Place a large deep pot over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and onion to the pan and cook, stirring, until the onion is soft and the beef is no longer pink.
  2. Drain off the excess fat and return the pan to the heat.
  3. Add the beef stock to the steak and onion mixture along with the potatoes and carrots.
  4. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Continue to cook for about 25 minutes, or until the vegetables and steak pieces are tender.
  5. In a cup or small bowl, combine the flour and cold water; stir until smooth.
  6. Stir the flour and water mixture into the stew. Increase the heat to medium-low and continue to cook, uncovered, for about 2 to 3 minutes. Season as needed.
